JEMs Cables – Cat 6 Cables

There are many wires and cables that are used to transmit electronic or light pulsed signals through them to intersect the newest innovations in technologies that we have today, such as wireless devices, computers, laptops, cable, and  telephone connections. These are crucial to our very distinct world that relies on sharing, educating, informing, and communicating through the technologies that have become available. Among these many cables are such as cat 6 cables, cat 5 cables, fiber optic cables, patch cables, and crossover cables.

Understanding What CAT5e Cables Are

Category 5 or CAT 5 cable as it is better known has been used in the computer industry for many years as a way to interface computers with each other and with associated peripheral equipment.  Both CAT 5 and the enhanced CAT5e cables consist of twisted pairs of high signal integrity cables that while most are unshielded provide a high level of noise suppression and a very low level of signal loss over distances of up to 100 m.

JEM Cables – Crossover Cables

Since the internet has become one of the most crucial parts of communicating in this high technological era, cables have become a great necessity to keep the world linked conveniently and efficiently. There are many types of cables that allow a signal to be transmitted to mechanisms, devices, and computers of all types. Different technologies require different wiring; however, a very important wire that is needed is a crossover cable. Crossover cables are convenient, and useful for hooking up networks and computers without an initial hub point.

JEM Cables – Fiber Optic Patch Cord

Fiber optic cables are the new cables that allow you to make efficient connections for communications, data transferring, networks, and specialized equipment connections. Fiber optics cables use glass threads to communicate data far more efficiently, with a single cable having capability to carry a lot more bandwidth than the conventional cables that have been used in the past. Unfortunately, fiber optic cables are rather expensive, but in the long run their efficiency makes up for this. If you arrived at JEM cables looking for a fiber optic patch cord which is used to add new connections, or add modules to a current network system, JEM Cables has a perfect solution. We can supply any type of wire harnesses from specialized fiber optic patch cord connections, to conventional cabling for any industry.

Use CAT6 Cables for the Ultimate Network Perfomance

If your installation requires far more stringent controls regarding crosstalk, reduced system noise and is running on the Gigabit Ethernet networking system you should be using CAT6 cables. While the CAT 6 cable is backwards compatible with CAT 3 and CAT 5/5e cables they are not forward compatible and trying to use them will give you significant loss of both signal speed and quality within your network. This cable is capable of performance as high as 250 MHz and can be used on 10/100/1,000 BASE-T/TX (Gigabit) systems.
