How to be great on a date

XXX 2007 – “the client who got through her fear of dating”

My client Sandra, 31, an accountant from Liverpool has done so well getting over her fear of dating.

After three dateless years she was beginning to believe that men saw her more as a friend than a potential date. With a successful career as the youngest partner in her firm she didn’t lack confidence. However, work had become her comfort zone and she was hiding behind it rather than working on her relationship life. She told me that she wanted to change this and that her friend had arranged a blind date with her boyfriend’s friend in two weeks time. She was terrified. “I’m so nervous. I’m meeting him in 2 weeks and think I will have to cancel as I know he wont be interested. No-one really finds me attractive and I wont know what to talk about.”

Being Happy Single

The client who learnt how to be happy single

Rebekah Fensome Life Coach and Hypnotherapist had been coaching Val, 34 on her relationship life. Her relationship behaviour always repeated itself in that she’d overlap from one relationship to another to ensure that she never had to be single. Her worst fear was to feel lonely and without a man. She saw single as being tough and didn’t want to experience this. She liked having someone there all the time to share things such as ideas, problems, meals, experiences, etc.

Self Reliance Column

I’m really proud of my client Amy. She has come a long way in the last 6 months.

She was prompted to search for a Life Coach after her partner had expressed his concern that she had become dependent upon him for everything and as a result lacked independence and a life for herself, which made him feel uncomfortable. Initially, she took this personally and thought that maybe he didn’t want to be with her anymore.

Rediscovering Love In a Relationship

6th September 2007 – “the client who rediscovered the love in her relationship”

It’s been a great week. With my help, one of my clients rejuvenated her relationship. Tania, a 34-year-old publishing executive, had reached that six-year itch. For the past two years her relationship with her partner had hit a plateau. She was feeling bored and unmotivated. “We’ve been arguing so much lately but even our rows aren’t passionate anymore!” She couldn’t even remember the last time they made love and she had lost all interest in it. She was also finding his faults more irritating than normal, and was struggling not to continually criticise him. However, she told me that she didn’t want to break up and couldn’t imagine life without him, “I really do want to make this relationship work and do love him but I just don’t see how things are going to change.”
