Because otherwise, it would be just a fruit salad. You can make the Chaat Masala from the scratch or you can just get pre-packaged Chaat Masala’s from the Indian grocery stores or online. These days some franchise grocery stores have started keep the masalas. As stated before, other types of Chaats are also available. Each chaat has it’s own ingredients, for example, Chana Chaat’s main ingredient is chickpeas and potatoes.

You can serve this dish as a meal, snack, appetizer, side dish or even as a desert.
